Bristol's Historic Places, Masked Faces & Medical Implications
From the Editor
This country is standing on a precipice. Up and down the land, beautiful and ancient monuments lie empty, disused and often in disrepair. If we lose them, we lose a distinct element of our identity as a nation. I am not religious, but I am English. Church spaces in this country have been solid pillars of the community for literally thousands of years - second only to the pub. It makes me proud to see Bristolians revitalising and repurposing amazing historic buildings. But, just like the pub, many are dying. We need to have some serious self-reflection about who we are and who we want to be. Do we want to be the generation that allows these spaces to crumble away? After everything they survived through the centuries, will it be our apathy and inaction that finally finishes them off? HANA News Bristol reports from across the city; read our feature here.
