Runways, Rain & Big Screen Names

From the Editor

When Cary Grant was born in 1904, aeroplane technology was just a year old, Charlie Chaplin was just 15, and Einstein would not introduce his Special Theory of Relativity until a year later. It would be at least 40 years before an effective treatment for polio, tuberculosis, malaria, and leprosy was invented.

In 2024, the James Webb Space Telescope identified the most distant known galaxy to Earth, around 33 billion light years away and dating to approximately 290 million years after the Big Bang. China plans to introduce 100,000 flying cars by 2030, generative AI technologies have become integral in sectors such as healthcare, finance and entertainment, and Oasis announced their reunion tour.

What might the future bring? A colony on Mars? A war against the machines? A Spice Girls reunion? We don’t know. But when we do, HANA News Bristol will be there to tell you.
